concentration camp victims endured? I was watching tv with friends, and we saw a commercial for the movie, and one expressed how movies like that belittle what those who endured the death camps endured, while another friend thought it was a good thing because it might inspire people to learn more on their own.

Assuming they aren't anti-semitic or derogatory, and they don't paint a "positive" picture of the concentration camps, then no.

It reminds people of what they themselves, and other people are capable of when they let dogmatic beliefs overcome reason and compassion.

The Holocaust never happened, it was just a lie made up by the evil Jews who don't believe in me so they could get monies.

wow i am just starting to read this book and I didn't know there was a movie - I will try to find time to watch it and let you know what i think ^o^
but keep in mind, it's from the point of view of a little boy who didn't know what was goingon. that might be one of the reasons it might seem to be belittling them.
