This is a good question!
Is there a blueprint for the mechanics of our solar system, or even universe? There just may be. Have the Mayans got it right?.. Hmm, I don't know. I don't think we can justify something we cannot fully understand. Meaning, there is no fluent description of the end times and events that will occur. It's like telling a person "be warned" without giving explanation. Subtle truths? Maybe? maybe not!? lol
Crossing over the ecliptic plane may have some validity, in that the heliosphere is shrinking since the sun has been extremely quiet. If the sun doesn't start picking up after it's present entry into solar maximum, many may point to the Mayan Calendar theories as then being correct.
One surely could have made more sense about how and why this event will occur. I have done a bit of research on The end times and Mayan Calendar, only to find NASA, LASCO, EIT, AIM, Stereo satellites A&B, Hubble, along with many other space scopes, to be the better source of the two. This is via tools and scattered documentation. Maybe the Mayan calendar is supposed to keep the truth.. K.I.S.S!? lol
