Do you think that the media is generally biased AGAINST or FOR your political party?

There is an indisputable answer if you just look to the web. After you answer, Google ANY study on media bias--done by ANY researchers (whether by universities, OR Liberal OR Conservative-leaning investigators) to see that they ALL reach the same conclusions, EVERY TIME.
Republicans told me nothing, Monsignor Mind-reader. I researched from studies on the web. Show us a study that supports your answer, and that negates everything that IS said by all these studies. On what do you base your claim?
I only brought up this bias question, because I hear so many Libs whine that their views are being stifled by the media. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are being overwhelmingly favored.

hey get it tight - you mean american media dont you. - you live in a two party system, a biased media is your reward - must keep the people argueing over red and blue at all costs - hallarious

Absolutely. I am a Republican (yes, a Republican no comments needed) and the media is always bashing us because of our views. Personally, I believe it's not only because Obama is a democrat but because some think we're insane for complaining about taxes. Honestly, no one in their right mind, wealthy, broke, or middle class deserves to pay the ridiculous amounts WE have to. Yes, yes, I've heard it all before, Obama cut taxes 95%. Well I don't really know what planet you're living on if you think that's even possible! Obama has done nothing and last on his list is helping the upper class/upper middle class. In my opinion all Obama wants to do is help the poor which is totally okay, but has he ever thought that there are others out there who are hurting in different ways. I mean I have a friend who had to move out of a nice home into an apartment and it was kind of a culture shock for her. I know I shouldn't be complaining because there are people who have even less, but isn't it time Obama helps EVERYONE?

They are biased toward whatever creates drama. For instance, Obama's school speech...a small handful of people complained and all the sudden it is a "controversial" speech...in reality he was just telling kids to stay in school and a few vocal wingers (who generally want public school abolished) screamed about it. Just enough for the media to exploit it. Otherwise, it would have been a non story.

Again, here's the truth for you...

Yes, they all came to the same conclusions, and Republicans lied to you about it.

They ALL came to the conclusion that reporters for the various TV and radio stations, as well as the newspapers, were generally leftwing. What Republicans didn't tell you is that ALL studies also found that all editors (the ones who decide what gets on the air or in the paper) were generally rightwing.

In other words, what usually occurred was that reporters would turn in a leftwing report. Editors would then make them do it again, easing more to the right, until such time as editors found it acceptable enough to print or air while at the same time the reporter didn't feel he had sacrificed his integrity.

And ALL studies found that area where reporter and editor agreed to be about the center. This didn't hold true all the time, of course. There were cases like Fox News Channel and Conservative Talk Radio, or MSNBC and Air America. But overall, the various news outlets were center.

You just believe otherwise because you allowed yourself to be fooled by Republican leaders telling you only half the story. Find the other half once in a while, you may find yourself thinking with a little more sanity.
