Do you think that some Conservatives that are so anti-gay are fighting a war

with their own sexuality? Otherwise, why would this be such a central issue to many Conservatives? Why do they have such a dog in this fight if they are truely straight - we are truely passionate about only a few major issues - why this one? Maybe that's why some Conservatives are so passionate about emphasizing the 'choice' of homosexual behavior - because they know, from their own experience, that they are choosing to suppress their own homosexual or bisexual desires (whichever it may be). Nothing is clearer from my perspective - as a straight male - that sexual inclination is something that is biological, and discriminating against gay people is hating something that people can't control.

I am suspicious where some of these Conservatives get the notion that sexuality CAN be controlled. Are some Conservatives trying to suppress their own sexuality - is that where the choice idea comes from? Kind of reminds me of gay catholic priests that probably become priests because they want to rid something from themselves that they view as wrong and that with the grace of God can be exorcized from them. But ultimately, sexuality is set up by biology, not choice, and we should stop discriminating against gay people; expecially, we should stop calling their sexuality 'chosen'. That is an asinine view. You no more chose your sexual preference that you do in being hungry or thirsty. The impulse is either there or it is not. Your thoughts?
I fixed the two typos in the last 2 lines. The corrections are in single quotes.
