Do you think that religion can lower, or..limit, someones intelligence?

Consider the fact that intelligence is the ability to solve problems in different ways and on different angles. Most religions just tell of one way something was done, and how it was done with already solved problems. It seems that the religion limits someone from thinking of other ways something could have come about such AS how life was created, or how the universe formed, etc...So do you think religion would lower or limit someones intelligence?
Well Mike, let's say for instance, someone was a jew or christian since those 2 tell how life began (ones that i can think of at the moment). And it tells you ONE way of how everything was created, now if you were also a scientist in a group with other scientists trying to find alternative ways of how everything was created, don't you think that that would conflict with your religions teachings?
Rand there is a difference in intelligence and wisdom.
Siloam killing others while being happy about it is a mental disability, you can't compare brain errors to religion or intelligence.
