present? I tried to talk to a guy about politics at a bar Monday night. We talked for about two or three minutes before he said that he wasn't going to continue the conversation because it is a bad idea to talk about religion or politics when drinking.

I disagree. In fact one of my favorite things to do is discuss these things, whether I'm drinking or not.

What do you think?
 
I think it depends on who you're discussing with -- a friend, chat away; a stranger, no -- I mean, they could be some flake ready to pounce if you disagree -- safety issues, really.
 
Yes,we will speak truth under the influence of alcohol which
is dangerous to the existence of politics and religion.
