Do you think that poor people buy unhealthy food and become obese because it's all

they can afford? Or do you think they could afford healthy food for the same price or cheaper than the McDonald's, fast food, chips, soda, etc - if they wanted to buy those things instead of what they buy?

BQ: Should people be able to buy soda with food stamps since it is unnecessary and has no nutritional value?
@Maya - baby carrots (pre-washed too) are cheaper than chips. I get a big bag of them at WalMart for $1.89. Carrots and bananas are two of the cheapest things I can think of for the nutrition.
