If so or if not, why? And also mention whether you smoke it or not because it helps me to know the type of person that has that opinion.

As for me, I don't smoke and I'm indifferent about it. I can understand that it's a big issue and I can see why marijuana legalization might be good in some ways but I also see how it might not be the best thing for the country, at least for now.

I dont use it but think it would be ok to make it legal. I dont want someone high driving around but if people are responsible enough than it should be ok.

To be fair if marijuana continues to be illegal than alcohol and tobacco should be made illegal because of the damage they do to our economy, society and individuals.

If you take all the properties of all the drugs in the world (legal and illegal) you'll see that marijuana is actually the least harmful (and that includes tylenol or any other over the counter medicine) and logically should be the most legal.

Of course common sense was never very popular amongst our lawmakers.

It should be decriminalized immediately; it should never have been made illegal in the first place!

I have smoked it myself until about six years ago. During that time, I graduated college with honors, worked a full-time job, and led a very decent life as a good citizen.

Decriminalization would be a boon to our economy, and I don't believe for a minute that people who never smoked it before would rush out to smoke it. That fear-mongering crap hasn't worked since Reefer Madness and I'm not so sure it worked then either.

Unlike alcohol or cigarettes -- both of which are legal -- nobody has ever died from smoking a joint. Of course, there should be controls on it such as not driving a vehicle while under the influence and not being able to sell it to people under 18.

Grow up, America. It's time....

If our politicians smoked weed, they wouldn't be wanting to kill everyone.More likely s*ag the living daylights out of them, then raid their fridge afterwards.
The World.Sorted.

Absolutely. It is safer than alcohol and tobacco, incarcerating marijuana users and dealers just clogs up the justice system and overcrowds prisons which in turn wastes money. Aside from saving money, the tax revenue would help to close the massive budget deficit. Not to mention that all drug laws are a violation of the eighth amendment.

I refuse to admit to a crime in a public forum.
