Do you think that Hollywood's depection of smart AI are hurting people's image

of "undocumented" immigrate? I'm talking about movies where you have a robot insurrection, and the former oppressors (us) have now become the oppressed. I know people might not see it, because the reverse - movies which depict andriods in a sympathetic light - aren't as common in this country as movies like Terminator, Battlestar Galactica (I know it's a TV series, but same point), Matrix, etc. all make robots out to be the aggressors. Whereas movies such as in i-robot, Bicentennial Man, AI, as well as some non-US productions (Ghost in the Shell, and Armitage III Polymatrix) all depict the loyal, servant android (or, refugee cyborgs in the case of Ghost In the Shell) in a sympathetic light as the audience will often times see them being mistreated by thier selfish human masters.

And, these movies aren't that common in US film-industry, as they are in other countries. Which might seem strange, considering how much of a "liberal" nation we are and how tolerant we are to immigrants in this country as oppossed to in Japan or in Europe.

Now, might have arguments against my theory about movies like Terminator as something might promote anti-immigration themes. But, whether you agree or disagree is what I'm interested in reading.
