Do you think that GM, Ford, and Chrysler deserve to be where they are right now?

Basically I am looking to hear the same thing from fiscal conservatives, and another thing from fiscal liberals. Here is a good test for you. If you are a real fiscal conservative, you will say "let em burn, they screwed up and deserve to pay the price. If you are liberal, you will say..."Give them another chance, I bet if we toss them a bunch of cash...things will get better" News for you guy... You can't run a company into the ground and expect the taxpayers to bail YOU out. Try opening a restaurant and see how many people have your back.
Wow, John Paul! You are totally right! I don't care for the foreign car market because it wrecks our economy, but... if they make a better car...(they are not right now) then they deserve the sales. You are totally right. Iacoca had his stuff together, and that was a loan, not a bailout.

People that bought foreign cars to be fashionable are what screwed the U.S car companies.Nafta didn't help either.

General Motors Ford and Chrysler have been loosing 34 million a quarter for years all a sudden they are loosing 25 billion? What is up with that? GM allowed this to happen there Electric car development was farther along than Toyota. Then they crushed the cars. Short sighted politicians will bale out the USA auto industry and drive up the cost of All the cars we purchase. It is not fair to Toyota Honda and Nissan Hyundai Kia Suzuki Mitsubishi and Europe built cars. Loaning money to giant company's that are bleeding money faster than AIG and Fanny Mae? I personally think if your company can't cut it either come up with autos people want to buy or go away. Dodge Plymouth in the 80's invented the mini van and aries K car line government bailed them out and was repaid in a couple of years. Wasn't that only 125 million dollars back then SO MUCH FOR INFLATION
