im a competitave swimmer and whenever i tell people that the most common response is thats not a sport. swimming requires a great amount of endurance. we have two hr practices five days a week. football has two practices a week at most for and hour. at swim practice you dont get 10 mins water breaks like in soccer, you get *no* rest at all. our practices consist of sets which is a 1,000 yars warm up, then 10 100's (another 1,000 yrds) and so on for two hrs. now how is that not a sport? football, soccer, baseball, basketball, etv. all have *seasons* but swimming goes yr round and you are expected *full time*. for example i wake up every morning at 5. 45 for 6 am summer morning practice....im interested in what you have to say. "do you think of siwmming as a sport?" lol thanks. btw im not going to get nagry im just curious lol thanks <33
