I am asking this question, based on what Carlton Pearson wrote in his book... " God is not a Christian "
Here is what he said....
"We are taught we are created in Image and likeness of God. We are also taught in scripture that God seeks to be worshiped. If this is true, then would not seem likely all of us desire to be worshiped as well, even if we never speak of it directly? I think we inadvertently display such desires regularly. Why else we preachers stand before swaying, writhing, praying gatherings of thousands and preach " God's Word" as we know what the Devine really has to say as though God's intent can be worn an off the rack suit by each individual who claims to be His Minister.? Why else would we create a culture of Celebrity in which people who sometimes can barley string three words together become idolized by millions or lionize our political leaders and celebrities just before start savaging them like lions let loose Roman era Christians? Clearly, we subconsciously perceived the God within and mistake our need for worshiped.to be His need for worship."
Your thoughts please?
Should be read"...In the image and likness of God"
