I know public education in general has its problems, but I was wondering if you think schools in the South (especially SE), are as bad as some have said? I am from Ohio and attended a "good" (not great) public school. I am completely satisfied with my education. We moved to GA a few years ago and my daughter attends an elementary school in the third best county in the state for education. While her school is adequate, I don't see anything that special about it. Am I just not easily impressed or does that mean so many other schools are sub par. And if they are especially bad, what are the main factors causing them to be?
