Do You Think NBC Is Intentionally Trying To Destroy The Sport Of Professional...

...Tennis For Americans? Or, do you think NBC and ESPN 2 are in on this together?

I'm guessing there are very few people who are going to sit around and watch a tape delayed match (that's been over for several hours), when the score of that match can be found on the internet. Tape delays might've been ok prior to the internet (and prior to ESPN showing the scores) but not in this day and age.

What do you think?

I do feel really sorry for you American tennis fans. You have missed some really brilliant games this Wimbledon. Isn't it pitiful that everything is now governed by how much someone pays to televise the programme and you get to see the damned thing when it is all over? Lost all the excitement.

NBC is a complete joke, we should boycott this blasted network. They only do what is in their best business interest instead of doing what the fans want. We didn't even get to see Fed's semifinal match at the French Open. Throughout this whole Wimbledon, they've continually decided to embargo certain matches by contract, preventing ESPN from airing these matches, and showing these matches on tape delay instead of showing live matches.

They did this with the Fed-Karlovic match today. And while Hewitt and Roddick are playing a phenomenal match, they play a re-run of the Haas-Djokovic match. Screw NBC. The only thing they have going for them is John McEnroe as a commentator, and thankfully he's coming to ESPN later this year.
