I'm 17 years old and have only had two serious boyfriends, one of which I am still seeing. However, my last boyfriend broke up with me because I was too uncomfortable and afraid of being intimate with him. He said, "You're too immature to be intimate, and I just can't see myself going anywhere with a girl like that." I'm not an insecure person; I don't depend on men in my life, but that did strike me as shockingly accurate... or something!
Today, I had to interview my dad for a religion class project. My parents have had a really rocky relationship, my dad cheated on my mom while they were dating but he then asked her to marry him, she stupidly agreed and they set it behind them, My mom is still scarred from the experience and hates my dad, outwardly, anyway. I've never seen them hug, kiss, hold hands, or share any intimacy whatsoever.
Is it possible that I have problems with kissing and touching my boyfriends because of this? I want to target the reasoning behind my problem in order for me to solve it, because I don't want to lose my current boyfriend. Thanks in advance.
I don't even mean sexual intimacy, that's the thing.
Just even holding hands and kissing freaks me out..
Is this normal, because all of my friends seem to think its not. :/
