I'm not from the USA.
Michael Jackson had a lot of fans in my country and he came here in the 90's.

However, I think the media coverage about him and everything that happened to him is exaggerated and it's overbearing.

What do you think?

if they would just get to the truth about how the worlds biggest talent 'MJ' became 'JACKO WACKO' through physical and sexual abuse at the hands of his JOKER looking father and passive aggressive mother 'KATHERINE' than maybe they can educate the world on the irreversable damage of child abuse, than i would say no to your question, but media is about ratings in terms of coverage and anything that will keep them with a job!

Yes, it is exaggerated and overbearing.
Gee, North Korea test fired a battery of mid- and long-range missiles, but that's not as important as an overdosed entertainer.
Obama remains silent on the missile issue but publicly offers condolences to the entertainer's family.
The Pepsi Generation priorities are totally messed-up.

I must agree that it is. The media just keeps saying the same thing over and not allowing the family, friends, and fans of Michael Jackson to overcome his death. It's not helping when you turn on the television and something about Michael is always on.

Not really. I am fine with the amount, and I would even like more.
The news in general picks the worst, most random stories to show. It is never good.

For example: why would I care that a random 22 year old died at a Serbia music festival ? I mean seriously. That does not help me or inform me of much in any way.

There are millions of things going on in the world right now and all the news channels can muster are 7........7 !!! boring random stories to replay over and over and over. and over.

I'm sad about Michael's death but i'm a honest person and i will say that their saying the same things over and over. What people fail to realize is that Michael Jackson is a legend and paved the way for a lot of people. He has done lots of charity. He's loved by lots of people young (me included) and old.Everyone knows who he is and his death probably was the biggest shock and unexpected.

well, i have said it before and ill say it again. you wern't a part of the group of children that loved michael jackson back in the day and love him still. that is a very large part of america right there and if they stildon'tnt know why he is dead. remember, ratings rule everything. so if most americans that watch tv news are between the ages of 35 and 50, they grew up with michael jackson and they are the target demographic for the news.

Man something about Michael that made him timeless. Some people grew up watching him with his brothers, then watched him grow up into this amazing man who helped out and gave back to the world. I'm not surprised how the world has responded to his death. This man has paved the way and many hot artists today wouldn't even be here if it weren't for him. It's so weird, I know you ask how could one many have such an impact, but he was a unique soul. The one and ONLY Michael Jackson. RIP
