Do you think less people appreciate life, music, and art?

Compared from now to the 60s or 70s or any decade. I mean it seems people just use music as just something in the background they don't think about. 2010 has been a great year for music and it seems like so many people are just ignoring it. They would rather just tune it to the radio station that only plays mainstream garbage. When they see a painting they just glance over it with out truly appreciating it.

What happened to people's passion and love for life and everything about it? Taking everything around you, tranforming and enhancing it, that's what music and art is for. It seems like people don't have any passion, heart, or soul. You need all of that to appreciate music and art. I wish people wouldn't ignore all of the amazing things in front of their faces.
