been fired? I was thinking that on air television new anchor people who report the news must face limited job prospects after they've been laid off by a news station. I mean, they have a public persona and image, and the only available jobs would probably be at other rival new stations.

I think they're lucky if they get hired by one of these rival new stations as a news anchor again, but what happens if they don't find another job as a new anchor? What do their career prospects then become? Do they get a job doing off-camera work at a new station?
