Do you think it would be wrong for Mike Piazza to go in hall of fame as a Met instead of a Dodger?

Lets be real if the dodgers wouldent have thrown him a bone & drafted him he probably wouldent have ever played mlb, he'd probably be tossing pizza's @ little cesars or working for minumum wage somewhere else with his junior college dropout education. Do you think he has to go in as a dodger because they gave him a chance when nobody else would?or will he diss them because he left on bad terms with dodgers management when he was traded to the marlins?

I agree they gave him a shot to make it if not he would be selling newspapers, lol.

Piazza's best years were asa Dodger, A player should enter the Hall dressed in the team uniform that he played for while racking up HOF numbers

Whether or not Piazza had been drafted by the Dodgers doesn't matter. He'd have found his way to the majors some other way, simply because of his immense talent for the game. However, I do believe he should go in as a Dodger. That would certainly be the most fitting scenario I can think of..

One thing everyone needs to realize is that the player no longer gets to make the choice themselves. They are asked for their opinion, but the HoF makes the final choice. This is because the Devil Rays offered Wade Boggs money to go in with their cap.He should go in as a Dodger because his best seasons were there, and after being away from the problems and tensions this should alleviate the bad feelings. If he does not want to wear a Dodger hat, he does not have to have a specific team identified. That is what Jim "Catfish" Hunter did with his plaque. He had good seasons for both the A's and Yankees and did not want to pick one over the other.

The HOF actually decides, and, as a Mets' fan, in reality his numbers are just about equal for each ball club. But, he was one of the best 5 players to ever don a Mets' uniform, and the same can't be said for the Dodgers, and I'd be very disappointed if he doesn't go in as a Met.His only World Series and NL Championship came as a Met.

He participated in his only World Series as a Met(2000). He was the most popular player on the Mets during his tenure, and was an icon in New York. I believe he hit 220 home runs with the Mets, and 215 with the Dodgers. He had his best individual season in 1997 with the Dodgers. He had an exceptional run with the Mets from 1998 to 2001. All of your points are sound, on target, though you never know where your life may lead. In New York we have our memories of his outstanding play and to me that is all that matters. Realistically many New York fans will be disappointed if he enters the Hall of Fame in a Dodger blue hat.

It should be the Dodgers. The great Tommy Lasorda gave thiz rookie a big shot and he took advantage with his playing ability. Definetely Dodgers

He should go in as a Dodger, That is where he started, and had his best years. Winner of the rookie of the year and was a great hitter for a catcher. It was upsetting when he got traded but remember during that time the management was all screwed up.
