one of your past dog's names, as a middle name for your daughter?
Ok well first I am NOT pregnant!
My first childhood dog was 18 when we had to get her put down, and I was 15, which means she was there for 15 years of my life! She was the best and most sweetest dog, and I still miss her! I had always wanted to use her name, Shelby, as a middle name for one of my children (only for a girl though), but I am now beginning to think that it might be embarrassing for my daughter?
I might never even have a chance to use it though, because I want to use the name Alyssa as a middle name for my first daughter, which is to honour my sister who passed away as a baby.
Anyway, my question is do you think it would be weird? Do you think it would be embarrassing? I loved my dog so much, and I would really love to use the name Shelby, but I don't want to use it, if my child would be mad at me for doing that to her!
All opinions welcome, BUT I don't care if you don't like the name Shelby, that is not the question!

akholbaev- I don't want to forget Shelby, I want to remember her! Not that I would forget her even if I didn't use Shelby as a middle name!
