Do you think health insurance should provide maternity benefits?

Last night Ann Coulter was on television and told Joy Beshear that she didn't think insurance companies should pay for maternity benefits for people to have babies. A few weeks ago there was a Congressman on C-Span who made the comment that he didn't think maternity benefits should be covered by insurance. His exact words were 'I don't need maternity benefits so why should other people have them.' I was absolutely stunned that these people of the GOP who push family values, morality and are so pro life don't think maternity benefits should be covered under medical insurance. They acted like having a baby was like getting a boob job and was cosmetic surgery or something. Coulter said 'well if we don't pay people are still going to have babies.'
 
you misunderstood what they were saying

they dont think maternity benefits should be mandatory

my insurance provider has it as an option
if you dont want or need it you dont carry it thats what they were saying
