Do you think Government can run a better health care than the private companies?

Well, considering we pay the most for health care of all industrial nations and don't even crack the top 10 for best health care, I don't think it can do any worse.

I've seen the insurance companies time and time again deny coverage, make the system so convoluted that people just give up trying to get rightful coverage and pay themselves, make the stress on friends, family and injured/sick patients absolutely horrific, kick back claims again and again just to avoid payment when they were perfectly correct to begin with, demand doctors see more and more patients with less and less time actually spent on them and it goes on and on.

For profit insurance has every incentive in the world to deny you care - it's more money in their pockets and bigger bonuses for them while hundreds of thousands of Americans go bankrupt over medical costs.

LOL just look at how they run Amtrak, Medicare, Postal Service, Social Security, Department of Education or my personal favorite Dept of Energy which was created more than 30 years ago to get us off of dependence on foreign oil.

NO intelligent person can honestly believe that Government managed health care won't be filled with waste, fraud and corruption.

It all comes down to who has the incentive, as well as responsibility, to minimize health care costs. The answer is not the government. Nor is it even the private companies.

The answer is the consumer. Whether through taxes or through premiums, we all bear the burden of expensive health care.

Define better? Can a government run system be much more cost efficient? Yes. Can a government run system care more about the people involved than satisfying their board of directors with record profits? Yes.

No, to say the least.

Anyone with the slightest understanding of our government's history knows that this will lead to the biggest financial "black hole" this country has ever known.
