Do you think Encore will ever play anime regularly again?

Remeraber about 4 years ago how Encore WAM started showing The Block? It showed anime every day at 4 o'clock, such as Gokusen, Mirage of Blaze Samurai Deeper Kyo, Vandread, Street Fighter II V, Texhnolyze and some others.
I thought that was really cool, no commercials, pretty solid anime. But they never really added any new anime to the mix, it was pretty much the same series over and over again and then they cancelled it like two years ago I would say. And they also cancelled animidnight on encore action.

Do you think Encore will ever show anime regularly again? Why can't they show those anime any more? Especially Samurai Deeper Kyo, that was my favorite and I never got to see all the episodes

We can always hope.

Personally, I hope Encore sometime decides to continue it's line of more mature anime, such as Black Lagoon and the Hellsing OVAs.

I would just love to see the new Black Lagoon OVAs (when they are made) eventually make it to Encore.

Up until 1-2 years ago, Encore WAM was part of my standard/digital cable package, when suddenly my cable company switched it to subscription, and bunched it alongside the rest of the Starz/Encore channels.

I remeraber when WAM debuted "The Block" circa-2005. It was neat, but WAM, before and after "The Block", didn't really air animes that hadn't already made the rounRAB on other Encore channels before. Not just that, but Starz/Encore only licensed a handful of shows, so often they were re-run to the ground, especially on WAM, with its 7 days a week/3 times a day schedule for "The Block".

I believe that, with Starz partnering with Manga & Sci-Fi for "Ani-Monday", that they've de-emphasized or ceased airing anime on their Encore networks. They even brought over "Street Fighter II V" during the early days of the block (unfortunately it didn't do well in ratings, so they pulled it mid-way through its run).
