Do you think dancing is a sport?

My friend and I disagree about this;
I say that dance is a sport. She says it isn't. I think that dancing isn't really very sporty, but it still is, like ice skating is a sport right? and its basically dancing on ice.
What do you think?
 
Dance is not a sport, Its an art.


Dance has all the elements of a sport: physical endurance, coordination, practice, discipline, and even, in some cases, competition. Yet many, if not most, dancers define dance as something distinctly different from a typical athletic activity.


So in fact you are both right in your own way.
