Do you think cartoons done in CGI all the time is ruining them?

I agree with you there.

Abusing the power of CGI when it comes to animation does make the art seem a little generic and a little more on the negative side.

However, it does sort of depend on how well they do with the CG animation, for example, I thought the CG animation used to make the Final Fantasy movies were great and also Pixar used it well, like you stated.

Overall, I prefer 2D though, it make the animation seem more authentic.

I mean it was cool when Pixar was the only ones doing it, because they make them good, but other people are trying to make them now and they suck almost all the time. And it was much more interesting when things were animated in 2D.

I think it was alright when it was only done by a select few for that "Wow, they can do it" effect but lately after seeing so many of them. I'm willing to say it is ruining them.

To be honest, I miss stop motion animation. I can't wait to see Fantastic Mr. Fox. It looks incredible.
