My son's friend Ashley is entirely uninterested in sport of any kind, but has a glittering career ahead of him in genetic engineering. He is in his final year up at Oxford and has already been told by American pharmaceutical companies that he can practically write his own pay cheque. He is currently being head hunted with offers that include rent free luxury apartments in Manhattan!
