do you think AP classes should be offered in high school?

while i think AP classes are great opportunites while in high school, i dont think they should exist. well at least not within the school. they should be offered as extra classes, after school and offered to anyone and everyone who feels they can take on the responsibility. i am in an AP class and im thinking of dropping it. its an incredible amount of work that i dont feel is appropiate for me to really do. well at least my teacher demands way too much. what should i do?
stay in the AP class and continue to overwork,exhaust myself?
or drop it and find a class that allows me to enjoy my senior year?
