I just dont think it will be so. Who knows though. The last ten years really haven't contributed anything to my itunes library. The only thing that has progressed and survived in my opinion is metal. Mastodon is one of my favorite bands of the last ten years. Meshuggah too. Also the least few radiohead albums. Theres been a lot of good experimental shit coming out of the underground too.
Whats your opinion on the last ten years of music? Do you think we will reflect on it with great cultural appreciation like we do the past 50 years before that (the last ten years) of extreme evolution in culture and music? Whats your favorite band of the last ten years?
To me its seems like a lot of the genres of the past ten years have been devolving.
eric-ya i know screamo wasnt invented now man i was accounting for the last ten years, and that is a genre that plays a big part in the underground teen music scene.
bsc- definatley agree, every decade has their gems.
radio bands like avenged sevenfold and disturbed, rihanna, kanye west, all that jazz? theres much better music out there but shit thats the plight of music aint it?
