Do you take others into consideration when you make decisions?

Do you take others into consideration when you make decisions that AFFECT them as well? Do you just decide this is how things are going to be from now on or do you take the time to discuss the issue at hand and find a middle ground, something that is more acceptable to both of you?

If one does make these decisions, who's interests do they have at heart?
