Most of the funding for the Taliban comes from the opium trade. The Karzai is one of the most corrupt governments in the world. We didn't think the Taliban were bad when we trained them by the CIA to fight the Soviets. The CIA are the same people that trained Manuel Noriega, a big-time drug lord, in Panama. While we were fighting in the Vietnam War, the Golden Triangle in Thailand, Burma, and Vietnam were discovered. Now there's the Golden Crescent where Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan are located. For all I know, this could be the real reason we're over there and not because of the oil. So do you think it's possible this could all be drug related?
Do you suppose it's possible that this war in Afghanistan could be drug-related?
