Do you still count this year as a real nba season?

Their only playing 66 games this season...some people thought the 98-99 year wasn't a real nba season since it was cut short to 50 games due to the lockout. That's why ppl were saying the first championship spurs won was a fake.....even though the playoff format was the same..16 games not being played can be vital to some teams that are battling for the last couple spots in the playoffs
