This is purely personal preference I think, but I was just curious....
When going up a hill, do you stay in a high gear and just muscle it going 15-20mph? or do you drop gears, stay seated, and spin up it going say 8-10mph?
I personally enjoy the anaerobic muscle burn of speeding up hills, and then coasting down. (This is assuming the hill is short and steep. Anything over half a mile, I spin up so I don't burn out my entire ride in 5 minutes.)
Which way do you prefer?
