I'm not trying to generalize, some doctors really are very helpful and thank god for them, but many that I've dealt with have only been after money, in fact they could have cost me my life three times. Once was when I had an ear infection as when I was a kid, my ear drum broke, and I woke up to a pillow saturated in pus and blood. The doctor didn't give me strong enough antibiotics and I eventually got a fever of 107.3. No, Im not kidding, 107.3, it's kind of a miracle that I have absolutely no hearing loss from the ear drum, and no hearing/vision loss or brain damage from the fever. The chances of being untouched by that type of fever are actually very low. The second time, I had a very bad cough for three weeks and kept going to the doctor, but she kept telling me I didn't have pneumonia. It got to the point where I could hear and feel fluid bubbling when I took a breath. One morning I got out of bed so dizzy that I kept on bumping into walls so my mom took me to the ER and it turned out not only did I have pneumonia, but i was actually quite severe and my oxygen saturation was very low. I didn't have a fever or anything, it was a bizzare case, but the fact that the doctor assumed "no fever, no pneumonia" and barely took time to listen to my lungs was really upsetting. And just recently, I had a kidney infection that the doctor kept on insisting was a mild UTI. When I went in for a visit I was in severe pain, I was shaking, crying, and I had a very high fever. My vitals were also haywire. When the nurse checked my heartrate and blood pressure her eyes kind of popped and she told me my heart was racing and rushed for the doctor. The doctor told me it was all in my head (a fever of 104?) and sent me home. Long story short, when I got home I broke down on the floor, sobbing, and I then passed out. I woke up in the ER where I was being treated for septic shock. Yep, the heartrate and blood pressure were not signs of stress, they were the begining of septic shock. Each of these three doctors could have easilly had me killed, and it's actually sort of a miracle I have no effects from any of those illnesses. My kidneys, eyes, and ears function perfectly, but I was so close to losing my life three times thanks to careless lazy doctors. Do you really trust doctors?
