socialist programs? if only the government would use money wisely. As long as they continue to waste my money on mice, wars, pig odors, earmarks, and a host of wasteful things, i will oppose all increases in the debt. Government has proven to me to be the worst money managers on earth. as long as it stays this way, i will fight Obama's debt build up. Just like i opposed Bush's debt build up.
 
I agree with you on the issue of debt build up. However, spending taxpayer dollars to create Universal Heatlhcare is NOT what I would consider a wise investment of taxpayer dollars.

Those who work and already pay for a portion of their healthcare stand to lose benefits when their company realizes that they can save millions each year by cutting it. And those who continue to get coverage through their employer will be TAXED on their company contributions as income. So in the end, the only people who benefit from Universal Healthcare are the people who don''t have health insurance. As for the rest of us? We're scrooged.
 
I agree but let me add one more thing. The Constitution does not give the Federal Government the power to create a health care system. If they wanted to give that money to the states via grants to set up those programs, and obey the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution then I would be able to accept it better.
