Rev wing: I was actually asking about the Torah.
Rev wing wang: I was just at the Jewish Community Center and my Hebrew teacher was inviting me to her synagogue across town, so I guess you're wrong.
 
Some Jews take the Torah quite literally, while others interpret certain parts as metaphors. It depends on your denomination and your personal beliefs.

However, Jews agree that the Torah hasn't been distorted in any way. It is forbidden in our religion to change a single letter, and thus for millenia the book has been preserved.
