I needed to answer this statement and just didn't know where to begin. I don't know how to answer it properly. Anyone got any suggestions what it means. I don't understand what it is meant by "author trying to achieve" and whether "like/dislike" would simply mean; for entertainment purposes.
I have to present it in a speech format, I'll use my own examples from the texts which I've studied in my course. Just want someone to have a crack at explaining what is meant by the statement and if they agree/disagree with it.
