Do you need to take Earth Science to graduate high school?

I'm in 9th grade and taking Honors Bioliogy.
I was told that I needed to take Earth Science to graduate.
I asked my AVID teacher and he said I can take Chemistry instead.

I'm not sure which I'm suppose to take. :\
 
Just take Earth Science. Better to be safe then sorry. I took earth science. It is really easy if you pay attention. Chem is hard as hell.
