Urbana Champaign? Also do you have to write an essay?
Plus do you think my grades are good enough to get into the school?
I have a 3.93 GPA and a 26 on the ACT.
 
At U of I at UC you do need to write an essay. A letter of reccomendation will definitely help, the more glowing the better.

Each year, over 20,000 high school seniors apply for 7,000 available seats.

Please note: The writing component of the ACT is required.
We do not use the SAT II for any admission purposes.

Application Essays
Essay 1: In an essay of 300 words or less, please discuss your academic interests and/or professional goals.
Essay 2: In an essay of 300 words or less, choose one extracurricular activity, work experience, or community service project from the list you provided on the application and explain why you initially chose it, why you continued with it, and how you benefited from it.

Activities, service, and work experience
An audition, portfolio, or interview may be required for Fine and Applied Arts applicants.

will i suggest u get a recommendation letter. it increases your chance of getting in and u should write an essay. plus ur grade are good and u WILL get in! good luck!
