Do you need to fully drain a blackberry battery to make it last?

No you don't need to old batteries used to be like that but not nowadays. But it is still best to let it drain as much as possible before charging it and then charging it fully because batteries only have a certain amount of charges in them. When they are made they may only be able to be charged 2000 times (not the real number don't know what it is) so whether it is charging only 10 percent of the battery or the whole thing they both count as a time kind of. It isn't exactly like this but this is an extremely simplified way to look at it I think. Now if your battery is going quickly well thats because it is a powerful phone with a lot of things running in the background. I have a Droid if I keep my GPS on and bluetooth run everything it lasts like 3 hours if I'm using it more like 10 or 12 just standing by. But what I do is just turn all of those extra features I don't use off like bluetooth and whatever you can maybe make the screen auto turn off faster and take off the auto bright feature. These all help to save battery now my phone lasts all day and then some with pretty good use. Its all about what you use and of course you can turn the stuff back on when you want to use them again. This is one of the problems with smartphones the more powerful the phone gets and the more capabilities well the battery just starts to suck.
