I'm a christian (teen) and my mom is a catholic.... I was telling her that it's not biblical and that through Jesus we can come to God to directly our confess sins and that David confess his sins to God directly....She kept telling me that Jesus left the apostles the authority to confess sins unto them and that David confessed to a Priest, but the psalm doesn't say that he went to a priest.
She started telling me that Satan was making doubt, and starting to pray so that God can open my eyes to see that confession to a priest is necessary.
and does Hebrews 10:19-21 says we need a priest?
she read this from the spanish bible "edision pastoral"
Hmm brought an excellent point. We christian have a personal relationship with Christ himself, and prayer is important because we talk to God directly, therefore, you can confess to the Lord directly!
