Do you need some set of license to run a free non-profit business out of your home?

When I buy a house soon I want to start a free ghost hunting service. Would I need a license to have people come into my home and "hire" me to do an absolutely free ghost hunt in their home?

We I need a license to accept tips from them even if I don't charge anything for my services? Or no?
