I have a 10 gal fish tank and i'm planning to get some fishes. There use to be 2 small red ear slider turtles which I moved to a tank and i'm left here with a 10 gallon.

I was wondering if I can use the turtle filter i have here for the fishes, will that be strong enough to suck up debris or have clean water?

What filter would you recommend for a 10gal tank, Thanks in advance!!
Hey jessie, why can't i put gold fish in there? not that i will...actually i have 2 feeder fishes in there as quarantine for my turtles heh

Don't you need the turtle filter for the turtles? Yeah, it would work. I'd say even any old generic filter would work as long as it's rated for 10 gallons. Just don't put goldfish in there. Stick with the community fish and not more than 8 or so. Whisper makes a new filter that has a reminder on the cartridge so you know when it's time to change it. But any will do.

a filter (supposedly) strong enough to house two small turtles in a 10 gallon should be more than enough for a few small fish
