i seriously can not do maths however, i got my science and english gcse's. And i'm one of the highest skilled students in my fine art class and in the past i have always been chosen to do special things for art which other students are not allowed to do ( like help create a piece work for the public, design a title board for are school house).

I dont know the in's and out's but i would imagine so, it would look unprofessional if a student asked for help with something maths related and you were as clueless as them, even though its art, it can come up randomly, eg. measuring spaces for exhibitions, working out percentages for their grades. But dont let it put you off becoming an art teacher, you can study gcse maths, or math key skills part time while you do your teacher training, im sure it wouldnt be a problem
