Do you miss the old days of the Internet?

I'm referring to the early days of the net when it was made public. It was made public in 1996. Things were simpler back then. AOL and Compuserve were two separate search engines, the first prototype of AOL was available. Searching for things was a HECK of a lot easier back then. You didn't have to concern yourself with stuff being archived or cached. People were using Altavista, Excite and Lycos and a couple of other search engines. Google wasn't as big as it was now. I miss the novelty of the net, and some of the net crazes back then, like flying toaster screen-savers. Wouldn't you agree?

Why do people say the net is still in its infant stages? They've come a long way since its introduction.
