Why do Black Americans invoke the Constitution when their civil rights are violated? The US still wants you in chains:
"AMENDMENT XIII
Section 1.
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, EXCEPT AS A PUNISHMENT FOR CRIME whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Passed by Congress January 31, 1865. Ratified December 6, 1865."

This is why there will always be a disproportionate number of Black people in jail in this racist fascist nation. Your "freedom" is an illusion. When you cry to your civil rights lawyer you actually belong in prison making license plates or boots or furniture for the public schools.
Outside of prison you are not supposed to receive a living wage so that you can go back to prison.
Possession of crack mandates punishment 100 TIMES worse than possession of cocaine.
