Chapter 2.
I was still thinking about the news report when I was walking to school.
It's okay, it's okay, I tried to reassure myself.
But I knew it wasn't okay.
I saw my friend, Jessie waving furiously at me to come.
Jessie and me looked exactly the same. We both had long blond hair and hazel eyes.
"Hi," I said, sliding my backpack off my shoulder.
"Are you signing up for cheer leading try outs?" Jessie asked, starting to walk closer towards the school.
"No," I answered.
Jessie stopped. "Why not?"
"I don't know." I said, still walking. "I gotta go! I'll see you in class!" I called.
"Bye!" Jessie shouted, and we both headed to our different classes.
The rest of the day were people teasing Jessie and me, "Oh, you guys look a lot like that girl that will die!"
Jessie would just giggle, but it made me feel worse.
Finally, I got home and was allowed to go upstairs.
"Brianna! How was your day?" I heard me Dad call from the kitchen.
"Uh, good!" I lied, starting up the stairs.
I fell onto my bed and closed my eyes. My eyes popped back open. I had an idea. I could go back to the same dream every night and look for as many clues as possible. All I had to do was think of how I wanted my dream to be before I fall asleep, and it should work!
I was eager to try it out. I pulled the covers up to my chin and started to think about the box...the room....the water...
I drifted off to sleep and unfortunatley had a dream about entering the cheer leading try outs.
