opposite sex? Do you like the idea of loosing your 'queer visibility' so to speak when you're in a relationship with the opposite sex or do you dislike it?
*Just so those who aren't familiar with the term 'queer visibility' it is NOT derogatory and I am not intending it to be such either. I'm tired for getting flagged for using the word 'queer', whether I'm saying it in reference to queer theory, it as an umbrella term for LGBTQ, my own sexual orientation or whatever. Its not derogatory.
Queer visibility is like having people perceive you to be a part of the queer(LGBTQ) community. Like if you are a primarily gay man who has found himself attracted to a woman, and is dating her, or if your a lesbian who has a FTM partner do you feel distanced from the queer community and do you dislike being seen as just another straight person.
Gwennie B- I completely agree. I don't have much queer visibility as it is,lol, and even though I'm not that keen on men anyways the idea of just being perceived as another straight girl who doesn't know anything about the queer community kind of makes me less willing to date men when I AM attracted to them .
