Do you like Novellas or Tomes?

I've read a lot that people prefer big books. I'm writing a book and want to publish so many but it takes me so long to write even a 60 page story. I was thinking of splitting my 600+ collection of short stories into a weekly book series that can be bought in "packs" or back issues just in case you miss a book. But I myself love big books, but haven't read any. It's something about the size that I like. I've read on websites that people love big books, like the book 'The Passage' and the book 'Middlesex' and 'The Stand'. But my book is a collection of short stories, not a novel! It has taken me two years to achieve the 1 million+ word count in my book, but about three or two years to get it to it's current state. I am wondering, is my book best served as a short book for people who don't have a lot of time in their lives to read, or should it be a big collection? I admit some of my stories branch off into a semi-novel and some of the stories are better served in another volume. What is your opinion? Honest, please.
I remember, I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
the 1 million word length is adding up to 600 pages
CRUCIAL EDIT: it is 218,906 words, not 1 million. my mistake.
