Hi there!
Long story short, right now I'm planning and working on putting together a story on bullying that I'll be writing in the next little bit. I just wanted to receive some general feedback on a few things.
I know it's going to happen during a time when bullying wasn't seen as a huge issue and no action had been taken against it yet.
As for the context, there's a unique twist I've put into it. I don't want to reveal details, but in a nutshell, the victim finds himself in a truly humiliating situation upon reaching junior high which continues right up till the end of high school. As for why he's bullied, it's not simply because he's "fat", or "geeky", etc...
What happens is he ends up threatened into attending school "dressed" a particular way. He's forced to wear clothes that aren't in any way what one would wear to school. He's forced to wear a costume. This is done to completely humiliate him. The costume he wears, however, relates entirely to who he is, who he wants to be and most importantly...a dream he's had since he was young.
And near the end of the story, a few of his bullies carry out an act that's so cruel and horrendous that's it downright sickening. It's an act that's now 100% personal.
I know those aren't great details, but general impressions is what I'm really asking for.
