Its my very first shot at a poem before. ( I'm 13) so hear goes nothing.
The dark is near
But darling please don’t cry
For your tears are like black clouds
Hanging low in the sky
Your face full of innocence and beauty
Should not carry such a story
Of pain and indecency.
Darling as I
Embark on my journey
Through the path
Of death and uncertainty.
Remember my heart is always with you
And to you my dear I will always be true.
The darkness will take me, were you cannot go
Until old age, withers your bones
But I, my darling
Will be there with you
For I will leave my soul
I will leave it with you.

edit to it : i think i should add this inbetween the second and last :

As it comes to devour my mind, my soul
But it will not find my soul alas
For I will leave it in a place it can not be attacked.
